Miss Kelsey was born and raised in Memphis, TN. She discovered her love for dance at the age of 17 and never looked back. Undergoing foot surgery her senior year of high school she still managed to audition and receive a spot in the dance program at The University of Southern Mississippi, the only accredited BFA program for dance within the 7-state region. Kelsey received her BFA in Dance performance and choreography in 2014. In 2015 she left The South and moved to Los Angeles for the next chapter in her career as a dancer and Teacher. Kelsey has danced under the direction of Ryan Heffington, Ami Mattison with Mattidance Company, and Maritza Navarro. She has also been a featured dancer in music videos such as "DANCE" by South African Singer Cara Frew "Into your arms" by Grizfolk and most recently "Snakes" choreographed by Erin Murray for an up and coming soul artist Deva Mahal (10/17) While Kelsey loves performing, her biggest stage is definitely in the dance studio with her dancers.  Kelsey teaches at multiple studios across the LA area as well as creative movement and dance fitness in preschools and schools alike. Most recently, Kelsey choreographed for Ivanhoe Elementary's 2017 International Fair where she worked with faculty and students K-5th grade, setting choreography on 500+ students. Kelsey has a huge love for people and a huge passion for the youth. " Dance class is about so much more than the moves. Dance is a way of life! When I found dance as a teenager, I also found the beauty and strength within myself, and I’m so excited to pass the joy it has brought me along to my students!"
