Ticket Policies
Tickets go on sale May 5th at 3:30 p.m. and cost $15 for reserved seats and $10 for general admission (no specific seat) each. All studio accounts (tuition, costumes, etc.) must be paid in full before any family member may purchase recital tickets.
Each person 6 years and over must have a ticket to watch the show. Children 5 and under may sit on parent’s lap. If younger siblings would be uncomfortable remaining seated for two hours, please don’t bring them to the recital. Children who are running around the auditorium are distracting to audience members. All of our recitals are considered family entertainment.
When possible, we tried to place students with 3 or fewer dances in the same show and we tried our best to place siblings in the same recital show. In some cases, it was impossible due to number of dances, gap in age between the siblings, or other constraints. In the event that you have children in more than one recital, you will receive one free general admission ticket to each show after the first show that your children are performing in. (Example: You have a 3 year old in the 11 am show and a 15 year old in the 6:30 show. You purchase 6 tickets to the 11am show. You will receive 1 free general admission ticket to the 6:30 show).
In order to give every family an opportunity to purchase tickets for their child’s performance, tickets will be limited to 8 per family per show from Monday, May 5 th until Thursday, May 22 nd. On Tuesday, May 27 th, families may purchase an unlimited number of tickets.
Ticket sales will begin Monday, May 5th at 3:30 p.m. at RDC. In an effort to avoid long lines and long waits, we have set up a ticket purchase appointment schedule attached at the end of this Handbook. The order in which you purchase tickets is based on the order in which you paid your Recital Fee for the current season. Your recital number is located on your Recital Fee receipt. Check with the Front Desk if you don’t know your number.
You may purchase tickets before Friday, May 9 th in person and only during your scheduled appointment time. If you need to send a representative to purchase your tickets during your appointment time, please write a quick note authorizing that person to purchase your tickets during your time slot. We are trying to make this process fair and easy for everyone.
Prepare ahead to make your Recital Ticket purchases go quickly and smoothly. Attached to the back of this package is a seating chart of MacDonald Auditorium. Review it BEFORE your recital ticket appointment and find out who wants to attend your dancer’s performance. Also, decide if you want Reserved Seats or General Admission. If you know which side of the stage your dancer performs on, which recital she/he is in and how many tickets you’ll need, your recital ticket purchase will go much smoother.
