MANNERS FOR DANCERS DANCERS SHOW RESPECT FOR THEMSELVES BY: 1. Being prompt for class and rehearsal 2. Being dressed properly for class and rehearsal 3. Hair up off the neck and pulled back (see required attire) 4. Shoe strings tied and tucked in 5. Giving 150% in every class and rehearsal 6. Being prepared for every class, rehearsal and competition DANCERS SHOW RESPECT FOR OTHERS BY: 1. Keeping their hands to themselves in class 2. Waiting quietly for others to have a turn 3. Waiting until the music is finished before entering a classroom 4. Always walking along the sides of the room and never across the middle of the dance floor during class. 5. Being prompt and ready for class 6. Waiting until the previous class has exited before entering the studio for their own class 7. Setting a good example for all dancers DANCERS SHOW RESPECT FOR THEIR TEACHER AND DANCE AS AN ART FORM BY: 1. Being properly dressed and ready for class and rehearsal on time 2. Listening when the teacher speaks 3. Being prepared for their turn 4. Always asking the teacher before leaving the room for any reason 5. Applauding the teacher at the end of every class 6. Not disrupting class while waiting for your turn 7. Giving 150% in every class and rehearsal 8. Never chewing gum in class DANCERS SHOW RESPECT FOR THE STUDIO BY: 1. Never hanging on the barres 2. Leaving gum, food, or drinks (besides water) outside the studio 3. Putting trash in the proper places 4. Putting personal items in appropriate places (cubbies, lockers etc.) |
